A quick blog

We have spent the day with Gaby and the grandchildren and what a glorious day it was for wandering around Rickmansworth Aquadrome. We finished with a late lunch at the Aquadrome café which was very tasty and enjoyable despite the poor start we had by subjecting little Ralphy to a chilli olive, he was sharing a mezze with his mum and it wasn’t known until it was too late that there were chillies mixed in with the olives. We have just received a text informing us that he still likes olives despite his spicy lunch time horror.

We bought the oil for the engine service as we are still using the car, it was almost twice the cost of the last service and I guess with the troubles in Libya we will be subjected to yet another price hike.

Frances had an early dental appointment this morning so we needed to get up early as we would be heading into Watford with the morning commute, I managed to take a couple of photos on the way to the car.

I can imagine how pleasant the aquadrome is in the spring sunshine. I enjoyed meandering around the lakes when I was there last, though the edges were all iced up and a brisk pace was needed to not freeze to the spot!

Yes it is a nice spot made all the better by such glorious sunny weather. We are heading off in the next day or so and will be travelling fairly quickly up to the Ribble. What are your travel plans this year?
