What a relief

At last! Bridgwater Marina opened at 9.00 and at 9.15 we took the boat over to pump out, fill up with diesel and water. What a wonderful feeling to have an emptied and filled boat in the right proportions.

Alan is still hobbling, in fact he is barely able to move and we have booked him in to see the doctor tomorrow. When we go out I run ahead and bring the car back to the nearest possible point and he isn’t driving because that probably wasn’t helping. After the boat was back at its mooring we went over to Wembley to see Alan’s Dad before he goes back up to Northumberland tomorrow.

Tonight we ate a Moroccan lamb stew which needed nearly three hours simmering on the hob. I used the diesel stove top for all the cooking except the browning and it was delicious, and a considerable saving of gas.

Yesterday we did 0.23 Miles and 1 Lock

Statistics so far:-

2141.63 Miles, 1210 Locks, 120 Swing Bridges, 82 Lift Bridges, 36 Tunnels
