Bottom Flash

We have had a break from the rain and so out with the bikes, we cycled down to Winsford and the bottom flash. I think that the best way to see the flash has to be by boat as it proved a bit difficult from the bikes. We did some shopping in Winsford and then headed back to the boat for lunch. I am not sure that we will go down to Winsford with the boat as New bridge has a very low air draught, we are 6 foot to the top of our top box and the lock keeper thought that we may have a problem after the recent rain.

We went for a walk this afternoon and I have to say this is a marvellous location, a secret location that we love. Apparently spring watch filmed at Hunts lock and it is supposed to be televised this week, it is a good place for birds of prey especially the sparrow hawk.

I googled operation of the Vale Royal Lock only to find that Lazy Days was the third hit and we know absolutely nothing about it so it must be back to the lock keeper for further information.
