Chester

A short journey into Chester and my what a a beautiful entrance into the city along the old city walls. There is a triple staircase lock before you reach the Tower Wharf moorings, as usual Frances managed to arrange a bidirectional route through the staircase with us exchanging places with a boat going the other way.

From first impression Chester seems a bit of a hotchpotch of buildings but we will explore more when we get back from Ellesmere Port. We did walk along the historical city wall as part of our route into the town.

That is a great photo of the water over the lock gates, I think you should put a name across it to stop someone pinching it

Good point, but I only upload low resolution pictures which are almost one hundredth of the original. Maybe I will add a copyright signature in the future.
