Christleton

I have never seen such a long section of linear mooring, we came over 7 miles today and there were boats more or less all the way, still I do like passing boats, looking at the different shapes, sizes and general state and we are in no hurry so we can just amble along and gongoozle to our hearts content. Yes this section today was not as pretty as the previous day, so glad to have the moored boats. Now the weather wasn’t playing ball and it rained until we moored up at Chrisleton, we are no sitting in bright sunshine, typical.

This part of the canal is so quiet and peaceful after the bustle further South, only one other boat going our way and two coming in the opposite direction. Tomorrow we will go into Chester, I hope the voting queues have dispersed.

Today we did 7.37 Miles

Statistics so far:-

1293.35 Miles, 818 Locks, 74 Swing Bridges, 65 Lift Bridges, 14 Tunnels
