Rickmansworth festival

We had a fairly leisurely start to the day today, after all it is the weekend, who can tell? We did our shop and then walked over to Rickmansworth for the canal festival. Plenty of interesting things to see, the music was great and it is so nice to see all the boats. How lucky we are to be living on our own boats.

We met up with Jo and Keith from Hadar, they were watching the narrow boat tug of war from the top of their boat when we walked up, so I managed to get a photo of them in their traditional outfits. It is very nice to meet up with fellow bloggers.

We then met up with our daughter and son in law and as we were listening to some more live music when up popped Paul and Steve from Weston Lady. We then made our way over to the Feathers for the inevitable couple of drinks.

The promised heavy rain did not materialise, I am not sure what is going on with the weather forecast but let’s be thankful for small mercies and no rainfall for the Rickmansworth festival.

Statistics so far:-

529.08 Miles, 438 Locks, 47 Swing Bridges, 27 Lift Bridges, 6 Tunnels.
