Try the Top Wok in Banbury, Jo and I always have lunch there when we are in Banbury. Range is limited at lunchtime, as with most buffet restaurants, but it suits us for £6.95. Might be worth trying the evening to see what their range is like then.

Sorry you didn’t like our locals the Flowing Spring (sic) (and Shoulder of Mutton at Playhatch, was it) Give the Plowden Arms at Shiplake a go (walk up from Shiplake School BC)

I have stopped doing the GRPS as I realise that pubs change hands and also staff and will therefore invariably change. I may take it off.
Yes we were disappointed with the food at both pubs but I have to say that the flowing spring is a fine example of a pub, at least it was when we visited last year. It had a great feel to it, friendly full of locals and the beer was kept in very good condition, in fact if I was looking and evaluating pubs without considering food this would have scored very highly.
