A very pleasant journey today, albeit a little windy but none of that nasty rainy stuff until we had moored up. We stopped off at Norbury Wharf for some stuff and then headed down to Gnosall, again there were Kingfishers all the way but they weren’t in a posing mood, well at least not for me when I had the camera. We were buzzed by a crop (or whatever a group of helicopters are called – whirligig, flight, cop, stick insects…) of about ten helicopters but by the time I had reached down to get the camera (3 seconds) I could only get 4 of them. Believe me it was like something out of ‘Apocalypse Now’.
We did come across a number of potential moorings, although I think that we would rather be further north on the Shroppie, still we have plenty of time to look, we will probably ring around over the next few days.
Today we did 7.96 Miles
Statistics so far:-
