We just love this canal, it is so peaceful and quiet and the scenery is well, rural for want of a better word. Although we got up relatively early, ok arm up back it was before nine still that could be considered early in some circles. We had a number of Geocaches remaining in this area so we did a couple and decided to the rest moving along on the boat. Well after the first which proved very awkward to moor we decided that the best course of action was for one of us to walk along the towpath and the other to just move the boat along slowly. This is what we did and we bagged 6 caches.
We are now moored up in Gnosall Heath and have had a couple of pints at ‘The Boat’ a very nice local and although the food looked tempting we resisted the urge and had a meal on board.
We have decided to move with great haste on to Market Drayton to catch the market there tomorrow, so the alarm clock is on and we hope to move off at first light. A quick Google search informs us that we will have to be up before 7:30, oh dear it’s a hard life.
