Music Room

July 13, 2009

I started the day cleaning and oiling the bikes, and that seems like ages ago now. We set off mid morning for a cycle ride on our nicely gleaming bikes. We got about half way to Abingdon when the heavens opened up and being a little this side of sensible we stopped, turned and headed on home.

After lunch Frances went into town to do some shopping and I set about converting the dinette into a music room. Easier said than done, but after a frustrating time of balancing a wooden plank on my head I completed the task.

So we can now fairly quickly convert the music room into a dinette and visa versa. Frances rarely reads this so she won’t pick up on the primary function.

We are staying here a little longer than we planned as our son Mick is off to New Zealand on Wednesday. He is coming over here tomorrow and we will take him to the airport first thing on Wednesday morning. It’s a pity he couldn’t wait a few more days as his cousins are coming to see us on Saturday, they are over from Australia. The flight he has was a small low cost island in a sea of expensive NZ-UK trips, as this is a very popular time for such flights.
